Bissell Commercial BGU500T Series Vacuum Belt U500T-58

[custom_html] Vacuum Belts can break at a moments notice without warning.  They are built to last, but after normal wear and tear, the inevitable will happen.  It is always a good idea to keep a spare Bissell Commercial Belt for BGU500T series on hand for such emergencies.

To replace the belt on the Bissell Commercial Hercules Light Upright Vacuum follow these steps:

Turn the vacuum off and unplug it
Set vacuum to hard floor setting on the top of the head
Remove the bottom plate and belt cover
Slide the belt off the motor shaft if it is still on the vacuum
Carefully take the brush roller out of the side grooves on the vacuum
Place the new belt onto the brush roll pulley
Guide the belt through the floor brush section toward the motor shaft
Reinstall the brush roll into the groves in the vacuum
Slide the belt onto the motor shaft
Put the belt cover and bottom plate on the vacuum making sure the groove aligns with the front end of the vacuum head
Fasten the latch
